When to Give Wedding Gift Baskets

Gift Basket

Many people think that only the bride and groom should receive wedding gift baskets. However, this is simply not the case. There are many people besides the bridal party that might receive wedding gift baskets from the couple.

Wedding gift baskets can be given to everyone who participates in the wedding. The bridesmaids, for example, might receive wedding gift baskets filled with bath supplies, spa made lotions and soaps, or other tools of relaxation and beauty. The maid of honor should receive much the same type of wedding gift baskets, but should also receive something special for her place of honor.

The groomsmen can also be given wedding gift baskets to show appreciation for their participation in the wedding. These wedding gift baskets should not be as fancy and should include items that will be of interest and use to the groomsmen. These wedding gift baskets should not be feminine at all in nature, and may even be quite plain. Again, the best man should receive something special in his wedding gift baskets to denote the place of honor he held in the wedding party.

Wedding gift baskets should also be given to the flower girl and ring bearer. These wedding gift baskets should be filled with fun filled toys and activities. The wedding gift baskets for the flower girls might include something special to the wedding as well, such as a pressed petal from one of the flower arrangements or a bridal doll.

You should also give wedding gift baskets to everyone who was involved with the preparation of the wedding and reception. This includes those who helped in planning the wedding and making arrangements. Typically these wedding gift baskets are given to the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom, the father of the bride, and the father of the groom, as well as any best friends and other family members that might have had a hand in the planning and preparation of the wedding activities.

You might also wish to give wedding gift baskets to those professionals that assisted in making the wedding go off without a hitch. These wedding gift baskets might go to the baker, the flower arrangement artist, the disc jockey, or the caterer. Wedding gift baskets should especially be given to those helpers that receive no pay for their services, such as ministers or church officials.
